5 TRENDS IN TILE 2021
PINK
· PINK TILE- This is choice for the bold. This style pushes the limit. While most people would like to remain within the pack this tile is for those who want to break out the mold. It can appeal to those with a glam vibe, romantic, or more modern taste. If you’re sick of white but still want a softer look. New colors and shapes, textures and patterns this is not your grandmas bathroom!
2. BLACK
· BLACK-If you love classic elements and modern aesthetic this selection should speak to you. Elements of Art Deco and Scandinavian geometrics can provide personality without sacrificing style. These make great floor, wall or back splash options. Depending on your level of commitment you can introduce a little or a lot. My personal favorite if you’re going for a more masculine look, is black on black.
3. METALLIC
· METALLIC-Metals are being introduced in both minimal and large scale. You can opt for a full metal tile or as a small detail as shown here. Metallics are an excellent way to create a more Lux feel and work best in places with natural and artificial light or multiple aspects of lighting.
4. SLABS
· SLABS-Probably my favorite trend. I love the impact a large slab look it’s grand and sophisticated without being too loud. This look allows for less grout lines and makes it easier to clean. Great for clients who are drawn to simplicity and want to make a statement. Large format tiles can also be shown in a Book match lay which combines two or more tiles and lining them up so that the tile has the impression of an open book. It’s so beautiful I absolutely love this!
5. BRICK
BRICK-I love brick, it’s a classic material that instantly adds depth and texture. This brick however isn’t as thick or sharp as your traditional brick, which is why it makes it perfect for interior use. I often use brick in transitionary places, or accents walls to highlight architecture of a space.
