HOW WE WORK
STEP 1
CONCEPTUAL
After the design job is officially booked we will have a more in-depth conversation with you to understand your needs. COLOR BLOCK STUDIO explores your unique style and captures all your hopes and dreams for your space. This part of the process is full of renderings, mood boards, and potential layouts.
At the end of this step, the scope of the job is clearly defined so your expectations can be met or exceeded down the road. Large projects are usually given two options and you can select one, or a combination of both.
STEP 2
Budget and Costing
C.B.S. takes your selected option and meets with a team of trades to cost and catalogue the best combination of items to suit your budget. In this phase, you’re presented with different choices to see where best to invest your money.
Often trade feedback can slightly change design plans, so revision time for the design plan is also allocated here. Multiple visits and final design choices lead to a budget.
STEP 3
SCHEDULE
Once the budget is set, COLOR BLOCK STUDIO funnels everything into a schedule and makes final buying choices for all materials. This is the last opportunity for you to make any major changes.
Once all items are ordered, our team ensures that all materials are on site BEFORE the job begins to maximize efficiency. Trades are booked in advance to minimize the amount of time your house is under construction.
*Please note, COLOR BLOCK STUDIO promotes Covid-19 safety and social distancing by staggering the booking of its trades.
STEP 4
RENOVATION
This is where COLOR BLOCK STUDIO and its crew executes on the design plan. It is the messy, noisy (and fun!) part of the process. Your space transforms literally overnight and your design concept comes from page into a reality. This is where the skilled team show off their talents and accomplish your hearts desire.
STEP 5
Staging and final touches
With the big-ticket items complete, this staging begins. Tiffany and her team add the art, accessories, and décor. She also reviews the budget against the final cost and provides you with an opportunity to review and give feedback, ask questions, or talk about the next potential space you may want to tackle.
With final style elements complete, there is a photo shoot to capture your space. Let the celebration begin!
