Artist:
Wanted for reasons unexplained.
I received a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of Calgary focused in set and costume design. I graduated on the Deans List and worked as a designer to several main stage productions. Stage work was the beginning of developing my love of creating spaces. After University I spent several years working in the field of visual merchandising, in cities as far away as halifax. Designing and executing large window displays, I grew to understand the value of execution of a unified idea. I then moved into working as a scenic artist creating elements of such large scale broadway shows as wicked, and cirque de soleil. Working in the theatre and film industry was a fantastic education on construction as well as layout. While in film I began taking on private clients, doing mostly interiors. I currently work as the instore designer at EQ3, a modern furniture company. I have been there since 2010. I love to work with clients, I find it gratifying to help people make a home their sanctuary. In addition to working in the interior design industry I was an artist in residence for 3 years at Art Central with the Artsastray gallery. My work has been featured in print, online, and was showcased in several galleries, most recently the Lobby at the Calgary Tower. Which is a personal note of pride as it's our most iconic building in downtown Calgary. Currently I show my work as the Artist in residence at KATAR.
